Matthew Elliott, LAc is a board-certified acupuncturist who has been studying Chinese medicine for over ten years. His treatments incorporate acupuncture, massage, qigong and medical herbalism to relieve pain, strengthen and nourish the body, and complement other rehabilitation interventions. Matthew specializes in the treatment of chronic pain, pre- and post-operative care, and digestive disorders. He is a graduate of the 400-hour advanced herbal training program through the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine, as well as the advanced acupuncture program offered by the International Society for the Study of Classical Acupuncture, of which he is a founding member.
Matthew is certified to offer treatment and parent training in the care of early childhood autism, through the Qigong Sensory Therapy Institute. He is also the acupuncturist for the Portland Trailblazers. He sees patients at The Benchmark Clinic of Integrative Medicine in NW Portland Monday through Friday. Outside the clinic, he is an author, a wilderness guide, and a baseball coach.
